One of the most common questions I get is “do you think AI is going to kill SEO?”
It’s a nuanced answer.
In some ways, yes, I think AI is completely destroying SEO. It’s no longer feasible to create a media company and expect to get the firehose of traffic like you could 5 years ago.
On the other hand, there are some aspects of SEO that are even more relevant, for example, local search has a moat around it and I think AI will only reinforce how strong the need for local search is.
