We have a short email this morning. Jules and the kiddos are down at the beach, and I want to run down and join them before I get my day started.
As you know, I’ve been in Plymouth, Massachusetts for the last week. I wouldn’t call this a vacation, but it’s been relaxing.
While here, it’s been tough to record videos. I don’t have an office, and the only recording device I have is my Surface. I could record videos here, but I decided to wait until I get back to Denver in a few weeks.
I noticed something interesting, yet not surprising.
My traffic and analytics numbers from YouTube have been dropping.
I was on a hot streak. I was gaining subscribers, making sales from my videos, and building a real community. But since I stopped publishing, the momentum has slowed.
This is a reminder that success doesn’t come in giant leaps. Success is about improving 1% a day.
The cruel reality is that we lose success much easier and faster than we gain it. It’s like walking up a down escalator. When you stand still, you move backward.
Keep that in mind. Make progress every day.
I’m enjoying the trip, but I’m also looking forward to getting my YouTube channel to 10,000 subscribers as soon as possible.
