Lesli Got A New Client
As I’ve said before, the goal of The Launchpad is to help people reach $10,000 a month. There’s a psychological shift that happens when you cross that six figure mark. Suddenly, you start to believe it’s possible and realize it’s not as scary or overwhelming as it once felt.
One of the lessons I teach is to pick a niche and focus on dominating it.
Lesli chose the dog breeding, washing, and walking industry. She has worked with dogs her entire life and felt comfortable in that space.
I’ll admit, I never considered building a Google Business agency around the dog industry, but I absolutely encouraged her to go for it.
Yesterday, she shared that for the first time, she did cold outreach and closed a deal.
What made it even better was how many people in the group congratulated her. It made me feel like this wild idea of building a membership community is really working.
You Get What You Ask For

The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me
I’ve said this before, but when I got sober, the only job I could find was cold calling hundreds of people a day trying to sell them a restructure on their car loans.
It was miserable. People hung up on me constantly. But eventually, through sheer volume, I got a sale. I remember the moment like it was yesterday. I remember seeing my name written on the board.
(Side note, I also remember when a team of federal agents raided the place because it turned out I was working for a giant scam. Imagine me, with 6 months sober and a few open arrest warrants watching a group of federal agents walk in the door next to me lol. That’s another story.)
Still, the seed was planted. I got over my fear of calling people, talking to strangers, and asking for what I wanted.
It changed my life. And now it looks like it’s changing Lesli’s too.
