I remember I used to tell myself that if I had enough money to maybe see a movie and get a bite to eat with my friends on the weekend, I would feel good.
I would spend most nights running or hanging out at the tennis courts with my dog.
I appreciated every little thing I had.
Sometimes I feel myself moving away from that, moving away from that overwhelming gratitude.
Other times, I feel like I am fully centered. Fully connected. When I am living in that “higher state” I am able to see life for what it truly is.
This beautiful roller coaster of highs and lows and adventures.
At the end of the day, it comes down to needs and wants. Wants make you irritated, they make you feel less than. But your needs, they make you feel whole, they make you feel fulfilled.
What more could you want other than what you need?
Take a look at your needs and wants. Are your needs met? Are you spending most of your time thinking about what you don’t have or thinking about what you do have?
Don’t let your success block you from the truth of the matter. You probably have everything you need.
Now go get what you want.
But don’t ever lose sight between the difference of the two.
