I did a little experiment.
I paid for a monthly subscription for a company called BlogPros. The way it is advertised, BlogPros is a team of people that keep up to date with your blog and as you post new content, they promote your content to incentivize for social media likes and shares.
Sounds simple enough.
But when I looked at it, the first thing I said was “there is no way this is legit. I guarantee its bots hitting like buttons.”
I knew it was too good to be true, but I wanted it to be true. I gave it a show.
It was tough to be completely unsatisfied because the company definitely looked like they were working, considering the number of shares that were on my page. But when you look deeper, you could tell this was a scam.
The analytics says it all. 60 something total hits to my site and zero time on site. Literally zero seconds of time on site. I got ripped off. It’s okay. I learned another lesson.
It looked to good to be true. It was.
