Jules is sleeping on the coach while Julian is completely passed out on her chest.
For mothers day, my wife was given the gift of an entire night with no sleep.
I don’t know how she does it.
One of the great joys of becoming a dad is watching my wife be a mom.
She is proof that women are stronger than men. It’s probably not even close.
Every day she feeds our son, she loves our son, she never gets frustrated with him when he is fussy, and she cares for him in a way that can only be described as “fully.”
I don’t know how else to say it.
It has been such a great two months in our home.
Sometimes, I feel like I give off an image of my life that is all sunshine and rainbows. I assure you, that has not the case. Since moving to Nashville, life has been very difficult.
Yes, we are blessed and fortunate, but the last three years have been filled with stress and health issues. Not to mention, my wife went through a TERRIBLE pregnancy.
These last two months of my life has been the happiest I can ever remember being.
Jules and I sit in bed in the mornings and drink coffee together, we pass our son back and forth and take turns giving him kisses, and we sit down each evening for dinner and give thanks to our higher power for giving us this special time together.
Watching my wife be a mom has been a joy and a privilege. I suspect that will always be the case.
Happy mothers day. Here’s to all the moms out there who make it look easy, even though we all know it’s not.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing! And that sweet baby's face is just...WOW! Adorable doesn't quite scratch the surface. A life created in love and brought into this crazy world through this safe space of your family is truly beautiful!
