There's No Such Thing As Imposter Syndrome
The story is killing you
One of the things I hear most often from members inside The Machine Method is “I have imposter syndrome.”
I get it. You’re stepping into something new, and it feels uncomfortable. But let’s be clear, there’s no such thing as imposter syndrome.
The label itself is what’s holding you back from success.
It’s not a syndrome. It’s a story you tell yourself because you’re afraid of failure.
LFG. 🔥
The Problem With Labels
The reason imposter syndrome feels so real is because we’ve gotten addicted to labels. They give us permission to stay stuck.
It’s easier to say “I have depression” than “I feel depressed.” But these labels don’t help because they steer us away from addressing what’s actually happening.
Emotions exist on a spectrum. They change over time, sometimes instantly and sometimes over years.
So when people say “I have imposter syndrome,” what they’re really saying is “in this moment I’m too afraid to fail in public, and it’s easier for me to label my feelings as a syndrome than it is to look deep into myself and seek the truth.”
Labeling yourself as having a condition is not useful and it’s counterproductive to helping you get what you want.
What Imposter Syndrome Really Is
So if we strip away the label, what’s really going on?
When you start a new business, go on a sales call, or try anything hard for the first time, how much confidence do you have?
Assuming you’re not delusional, you probably have a low level of confidence. And that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be.
Why would anyone go into a new situation with high confidence? That’s not how life works, it’s not how business works, and it’s not how self improvement works.
Self improvement requires humility and failure. The only way to get good at something is to fail at it. Progress isn’t magic. It’s failure repeated over and over with small improvements in between.
So when you tell yourself you have imposter syndrome, all you’re really saying is that you’re uncomfortable with repeated failure and afraid to do it.
And that’s okay. There’s nothing wrong with being afraid. I feel fear every single day.
But whether you have the courage to take action or not, that’s the difference between having imposter syndrome and simply walking through discomfort.
How Do You Gain Confidence?
You do things that build your confidence.
I wish there were an easier way, but there’s not.
I’m a confident Thai fighter. I’m confident I could liver kick, head kick, or send a knee to the chin of 99 percent of people I walk by on the street. (This is exactly the moment I come across someone who’s better than me lol)
But it wasn’t always that way. I started learning Muay Thai after my back surgery because I could no longer run. I was terrible at it. As a natural athlete, I assumed I would just walk into the Thai gym and be good. It was a very humbling experience.
After weeks and months of literally getting my ass kicked, something clicked. I started to see patterns. I tightened my technique. I learned to anticipate strikes instead of reacting to them. Eventually, I got better.
Through practice and repetition, I gained confidence. Not because I believed in myself, but because I earned it.
You don’t become confident and then get good. You get good, and that’s where confidence comes from.
Imposter syndrome is just a label we give ourselves to feel better. The truth is you’re not good at the thing you want to be good at, and you’re afraid to learn through failure and repetition because it’s humbling, embarrassing, and hard.
Building a business follows the same process …
You don’t build confidence before you start. You build confidence through the process of failing and learning.
So if you want to start a business, assume you will fail.
The default is failure. You never actually succeed. You just find more and more ways to fail and learn.
If you find the courage to start the business you’ve dreamed of, I can promise you will feel like a fraud and like you don’t know what you’re doing.
It’s not because you have imposter syndrome. It’s because you actually don’t know what you’re doing. How could you possibly know how to do something you’ve never done before?
So how do you learn?
The same way you learn anything else. You practice. You fail. You try again. You learn. You fail again. You try again and you get better.
One day, you’ll look back and realize the struggle was the point. You’ll see that every failure was just another rep.
That’s how success is built.
If you want to get wealthy …
You can either be born with rich parents, or you can learn how to make money for yourself. My hope for you is that you give it a shot, because if starting a business is something that’s in your heart, that voice will never go away.
Your future self and your bank account will thank you.
Love you guys. Talk to you tomorrow.

I’ll Teach You How To Build A Seven Figure Business
If there’s one lesson I’ve learned from my life as an entrepreneur, it’s this.
ENTREPRENUERSHIP IS NOT COMPLICATED.
Internet gurus love to talk about “frameworks, secrets, and insights.” The reality is that every business follows the same exact process in order to generate sales, build internal systems, and scale.
I have broken this process down into six steps, which I call The Machine Method.
If you’re serious about starting an online business, I will guide you on your quest to seven figures.
Welcome to the machine. 🤖
