Jeff Nicholas: How NFTs Will Change Everything
Jeff Nicholas is the Executive Creative Director of Authentic Artists.
Jeff was one of my favorite guests I've ever had on the podcast. I first learned about Jeff's work when he and I commented on one of Polina Pompliano's Twitter comments. Since then, we became friendly through DM's on Twitter.
Once I started to see more of Jeff's work, I discovered more of amazing work he has created in the video production space and the creative art space for Live Nation. However, it wasn't until we started talking about our shared interest in NFTs that we started our friendship.
Once we got together on the podcast, our conversation went in many different directions.
NFTs, Digital Art, and the Digital Renaissance
As an artist, Jeff is a recent ambassador for digital art and we are both excited about this new option for digital artists to monetize. Typically, if an artist wanted to monetize their art, they had to use it as leverage to build a following or create a brand for themselves, and then find ways to monetize that brand.
NFT's allow digital artists teh chance to monetize directly from their work.
Digital Art is Just the Beginning
When you start to think about how tokens will spill over to everything else, the world starts to look totally different in a very short amount of time.
I wrote an article about NFTs and gave some insight to the possibilities that they will have in our future world. However, Jeff brought some other insights that I didn't think of.
One of these insights is digital music, and on that note, I was thrilled that Jeff was able to announce his newest project on my podcast. Jeff in now the Executive Creative Director for Authentic Artists. Authentic Artists "creates interactive virtual artists using deep learning tech."
Yes, you read that correctly. We are now creating virtual artists, musicians, and future superstars.
In this Episode, we Talked About...
How NFT's are helping Jeff create his own art, as opposed to creating art for other people
The future of money
The future of digital music
Why we have already accepted this new virtual world, even if we don't realize it yet
Also, Jeff casually named dropped being friends with Dave Grohl and I had to brush past it and pretend like it wasn't a big deal that Jeff knows DAVE FUCKING GROHL.
