Let's get to work
I had the conversations, I signed the papers, and I made the financial commitment. Now I truly have skin in the game and I am ready to grow Tim Stodz Media. Here’s the plan.
The Ultimate Outcome
Before I do anything, I always think about the purpose behind it.
I talk about this a lot in The Launchpad, because when you have an ultimate outcome, you have a compass to guide your decisions.
If you face a choice, you can simply ask if the decision moves you closer to or further from your ultimate outcome. It simplifies everything.
As such, for Tim Stodz Media, my ultimate outcome is to reach one million dollars in annual recurring revenue from the membership site alone.
The Structure
Why does the company exist? There are two phases.
First, to generate content that drives attention to The Machine Method. This is the first, second, and third priority. The company has a singular focus, which is to grow my brand and make sales.
Second, to grow my personal brand so I can create leverage. I have spoken many times about how my daily newsletter is an opportunity machine. Many of the deals and investment opportunities I have come from the deal flow and relationships built through my personal brand. It is impossible to know exactly what those opportunities will become, so I write every day with blind faith that if I continue to serve the world, good things will happen. Tim Stodz Media is an accelerant for this. The goals are to
Reach 100,000 newsletter subscribers
Reach 100,000 YouTube subscribers
That is it. Singleness of purpose is why this will succeed.
Really this is just an extension of what I’m already doing. My plan is actually to reduce the amount of time I spend recording and editing video, by building a team and bringing if professionals to do the hard work for me.
The team is built. It’s time to scale.
The Strategy
At its core, Tim Stodz Media will be a video production company. Everything will start with YouTube and then filter down through distribution.
The videos will be as follows.
Build your empire: Similar to what I do now, teaching digital marketing, sales, and business building.
Office hours: A weekly show where I answer questions submitted inside The Machine Method free community.
Conversations: A weekly interview with a founder of a product, agency, or business. These will be 20 to 30 minute question and answer sessions. My role will be minimal. I ask the questions and get out of the way.
Daily shorts: Volume wins. The reason I am creating such a production line is because I intend to be everywhere. Shorts will be repurposed on LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Threads, Pinterest, Substack, TikTok, and anywhere else I can generate attention for The Machine Method.
There will be room for other content, like videos on medical marketing or book reviews. But this is the plan, and I will stick to it until I reach my Ultimate Outcome.
September 1 is the start date.
