For some reason, a lot of you feel like building a 6 and 7 figure local SEO agency is bullshit.
Well it’s not. I’ve done it many times over. And today, I’ll share with you the 3 criteria to hit 6 figures and beyond.

1. Mindset
Here’s what happens.
You start your agency and you think to yourself “Since I’m just getting started, I’m going to go after small clients and charge them as little as possible.”
So you try to close small businesses like restaurants, notaries, or friends and cousins with an idea but no budget. You’re just getting started so you take whatever you can get.
This is a recipe for disaster. You’ll only end up positioning yourself to work with bad clients for little to no money.
I’ve been there. When you’re just getting started you do what you have to do. I’m not saying you can walk into a Fortune 500 company and demand to be taken seriously.
But you need to set serious expectations for yourself. You have just as much right to go after high ticket clients as anyone. Why not you? Why not now?
Most people fail before they even get started. Push through the limiting beliefs. It’s not about being confident, it’s about feeling like a fraud and doing it anyway.
2. The Right Industry
The niche you choose is critical.
It’s tempting to do what everyone else is doing. But the real success stories are from people who saw an opening and went against the grain.
The most profitable industries are usually the most boring. They’re not sexy and they won’t get you a huge social media following. But that’s fine, because the size of the audience isn’t nearly as important as the value of the audience.
You want to be an expert in something valuable.
I’ve written about this before. If you haven’t dedicated yourself to a profitable niche, then you’re not taking it seriously.
3. Content
How do you become an expert in something? How do you establish yourself as an authority?
The answer: create content.
Writing is so valuable because as you write, you are learning and teaching at the same time. There’s no better way to become an expert in a field than to write. Writing also grows your reach and builds authority.
Here’s How You Start
First, create an offer.
Next, write or create videos about how to deliver the offer.
Do that for as long as it takes to establish your brand, create a reputation for yourself, and generate clients.
When I started Stodzy, I recorded videos on my phone, edited them in iMovie, and posted them on Facebook. Before long, leads started coming in.
I closed my first client at $2500 a month.
This was 10 years ago.
I know it’s possible because I did it. The excuses are only that.
