First Day In San Diego
The day couldn’t have gone any better.
We got to the airport and it was empty. I don’t know how many of you have been to the Denver airport, but that never happens. All of security is done through a single security gate, and then you take a train to the terminal that your flight departs from. So it’s not like each terminal has it’s own security.
No, there’s just one massive security line for all the terminals.
When we got there this morning, I could not believe how short the line was. We basically walked right through.
Winning.
The flight was easy. We landed, got our car, and drove to Coronado for brunch. After that, we drove to Ocean Beach and we found our Airbnb.
It’s a perfect little beach bungalow. There’s no AC in the the place (which I would have preferred) but with the windows open there is a cool beach breeze. It’s great.
We found a taco place called La Dona. And it was delicious. We’re staying right across the street from a great produce store, so we can easily make healthy meals.
Also, we’re right across from a coffee shop so I can sit and drink coffee and get work done. (I know, I’m on vacation, but Jules has a school assignment to do tomorrow so I might as well).
Lastly, we ended the night at Dog Beach.
It’s exactly like it sounds. An entire beach for dogs. I’ve never seen anything like it. These dogs were having the time of their lives.
It’s been a great day.
