Thanks. I’ve had a love - annoyance relationship with Substack. I started moving my newsletter to ConvertKit / Wordpress just as Substack started building out recommendations.

So now I have 1/2 on Substack and 1/2 on WP/CK. I’ve looked for a system that can combine the two and was considering beehiv.

You’ve talked me out of it.

I figured out a hack to sync my subscribers between Substack and CK. So I will move all my subscribers to Substack, sync the list with CK and use Substack for newsletter sends and CK for marketing communication.

I appreciate you taking beehiv out of the conversation for me. I’ve been looking for this type of article for awhile.

Hey Jeff. Nahhh just move fully onto Convertkit. For Copyblogger, I send my Friday newsletter out and have all the automations. Convertkit is definitely where you want to be. As I said in my video yesterday, I only switched to Substack because I have nothing to sell.

Just go all in. I promise you'll thank me.

For the past year I’ve been sending out the newsletter on both convert kit and Substack. My open rates on Substack far exceed ConvertKit for the newsletter.

I have 50% open rates on Substack and less than 20% on ConvertKit. Same newsletter. Same subject line. Same content.

That's probably because of DMARC.
