Back in Nashville
Here I am, back at my kitchen counter, writing blog posts.
Miami was amazing, but it was different than I thought it would be.
Two weeks into the trip, I got a terrible ear infection that ruptured my eardrum. I wrote a long and reflective article about it on my business blog. It was a real pivotal point for me.
Other than that, I enjoyed every second of it.
I loved my daily walks on the beach. I loved taking Julian to the Cuban coffee shop to get café con leches and chicken empanadas.
I loved walking on the ocean. Somehow, the ocean always helps me realize how small and insignificant my problems really are.
I loved being around the people. In Florida, you can say hi to strangers walking past you on the sidewalk. I don’t find that to be the case in Nashville.
So what’s next?
I’m home for a week, and next Monday I fly out to Colorado for a snowboarding trip with my dudes.
After that, Jules and I go to Seattle and then Portland Oregon to see if those seem like places we would like to live for the next few years.
Updates on work
I am rebuilding The Bootstrapper. This is going to be my best product yet.
The podcast is hitting a great stride. I’m happy to be recording episodes again.
Other than that, I’m staying focused the next few months on doing what is right in front of me, and focusing on my fitness.
I ate a few too many cookies in Miami. I don’t regret it at all, but now is the time to get right back into my health and fitness routine.
Morning coffee. Morning reading. Afternoon Muay Thai.
I’m looking forward to a consistent schedule.
