I spent the last three years in a focused state of zen. I have said no to more projects than I have said yes to. I have no regrets. I know that choosing what not to work on is just as important as knowing what to work on.
But all that is about to go out the window. It’s about to get crazy.
I am so excited about what I see happening around me. There is so much work to be done. There is important work to be done. I am ready to get after it.
Here’s what I’m working on in 2019.

JourneyPure – In Network Addiction Treatment
It means so much to me to be involved with the addiction treatment industry.
It’s an industry that has seen his fair share of controversy.
To make a long story short, addiction treatment can be a very profitable business. If you can find patients with the right insurance policies, you can make a lot of money. I mean A LOT of money.
As a result, a huge influx of sketchy treatment centers using really unethical marketing tactics have popped up.
The worst part about it is that 95% of the people effected by addiction weren’t able to get treatment because most insurance policies are “in network” and most treatment centers only accept highly profitable “out of network” benefits.
I am really honored and privileged to be a part of the executive team at JourneyPure. We are doing the hard work of building a nationally recognized treatment facility that helps the people that need help the most. Our model is ground breaking. It is ahead of the curve and it is a responsible way to run a business.
JourneyPure is doing it right. We have built our infrastructure in a way that allows us to employ highly valuable employees, physicians, marketers, techs and executives while building a treatment model that helps the masses of people who have truly felt the brunt of the opioid epidemic.
It’s hard work. But we are changing the world. It feels great to be a part of it. I’m truly blessed to be able to give back while doing work that I love!
2 – E-Sports and Competitive Gaming
Most people still consider e-sports to be a fad. I promise you, with 100% certainty, e-sports and competitive gaming is going to be HUUUUGGGEEEEE!
Your kids will be obsessed with it. They will have posters of their favorite gamer in their rooms. More people will watch e-sports than will watch actual sports. E-sports matches will consistently sell out arenas. There’s no stopping it.
I find it to be half terrifying and half fascinating. It’s a brave new world for sure.
What excites me most about e-sports is all the off shoots. When new industries emerge, one of the awesome side effects is the opportunities it creates for other off shoot businesses.
We will see a huge influx of media outlets, podcasts, blogs, journalists, film makers, investors, celebrities, influencers, companies, contractors, vendors, advertisers. and you name it!
I’m getting in the game.
I can’t announce it yet, but I have something up my sleeve for an e-sports brand I am creating.
E-sports are legit and they are here to stay.
3- Stem Cells, PRP and Regenerative Medicine
The preliminary science behind the amazing regenerative qualities of stem cells is truly fascinating.
We are learning about the benefits of keeping babies connected to umbilical chords right after birth. Allowing the baby to stay connected to the mother’s placenta to continue to pump stem cells into the baby is proving to be hugely beneficial.
More examples are simply from personal testimonials and MRI data from people who have had stem cell treatments in joints and the lower back. We can see new tissue developing and patients regularly report much lower pain, better mobility and higher quality of life.
Stem cells even improve and even reverse the symptoms of multiple sclerosis. It’s not bullshit. It’s real science.
Stem cells blow me away. They are incredible. I can not wait to see what happens in this industry over the next 10 years but I promise you it will be exciting. I need to be involved.
4 – Clean Energy
Clean energy is the future.
I can’t believe that there are so many people out there who think that clean energy is some kind of leftist agenda. Why would we not want to be involved with building an infrastructure around the energy sources that will power the future?
I am from Pennsylvania. There are families in those mountains who have been mining coal for generations. It’s not easy for them to let go of that work. I can empathize for sure.
But it doesn’t matter, because the market demands will pass them by, regardless of how many jobs the government puts into the economy. Clean energy will win out in the end.
Because it’s better.
Batteries are so insanely powerful and solar panels can power the entire country. If we were to put a 1 mile by 1 mile solar panel farm in a corner of Nevada, we could power the entire country. Batteries would store the energy and we would legitimately have enough power for everyone.
I’m not interested in getting into a climate change debate about it. What I am interested in is how I will be involved with solar panels and battery storage energy.
It’s common sense. It’s a better way for us to live on this planet. I want to be involved.
5 – Index Funds and Long Term Investing
Is there anything more boring than index funds?
We want hedge funds! We want maverick investors. We want genius investors who know how to time the market and who flip investments into billions of dollars and have a fleet of fifteen private jets.
It’s pretty cool. But it’s a pipe dream.
Most hedge funds will lose money. Most mutual funds will end up costing you money in management fees and the results they produce are no better than if a monkey made investments. That’s not a joke btw, actual monkeys have consistently beat out hedge fund investors in return dollars on investment.
Index funds are slow and boring. But they are consistent. If you invest small amounts of money on a consistent basis into index funds starting from a young age, you’re almost certain to be a multi millionaire by the time your 60.
If more young people understood how long term investing worked, we would see some real long term financial security in our society. Young people are so filled with anxiety and so few young people save or invest their money.
I don’t know how, but I would love to find a way to educate young people on the benefits and value of compound interest.
I can’t do this all at once.
I’ve made the mistake in the past of trying to do too much at one time. I’m a little bit older and a little bit wiser than I was back then. I still have to stay focused.
But I’m ready. I’m feeling good. I’m ready to do this.
There are so many opportunities out there. If you are willing to be consistent, disciplined and put in the work, you can take advantage of any of these emerging businesses.
So jump in. There is room for everyone!
