Managing crisis is part of being a leader.
When your team looks at you, they need to believe that your guidance will bring them through whatever hardship you are currently dealing with.
It’s easy to be a leader when things are going well. But in challenging times, we need people like Kevin and Josh to step up and say “this is what we are doing.”
A great example of this been our quick response to the health crisis and our launching of the new JourneyPure Tele Health platform.
Within a week of the national emergency, the company organized itself and created a virtual treatment platform that will allow us to continue to see our patients through this crisis.
In addition, it gives us a brand new way to serve our patients in the future.
I’ve been writing a lot about how coronavirus is creating a demand for an entire subset of virtual industries. It could be the silver lining through this entire experience. Healthcare is going to be an industry that changes the most.
For obvious reasons, we will see the demand for this type of treatment and these types of virtual services skyrocket in the next year and well into the decade.
I believe that virtual treatment is going to be a huge foundation within the treatment industry and it is a much needed service in this time of need.
To say once more, I consider it an honor to be a part of JourneyPure. Kevin Lee is the only reason I ever considered “taking a job.” Before I made the move to Nashville, Kevin called me as I was sitting in an airport. It was there he made the offer and invited me to join the JourneyPure team. I felt his leadership then and I knew I needed to work with Kevin.
In times like these, it’s easy to see the difference between good leaders and great leaders. Great leaders make the most of terrible situations. I believe we are doing that with JourneyPure Tele Health.
