There is a lot of talk and “self help” these days about habits. Habits are powerful tools that we can use to build success in our lives.
But not all habits are good. Sometimes, the most important thing we can do is break a habit. Sometimes negative habits can lead us into negative patterns of behavior.
I can remember times in my life where I got stuck in these patterns. It’s not always self-destructive. It’s not always a “downward spiral.”
Sometimes it’s about isolating. Sometimes it’s about negative self-talk. Some times it’s about being lazy about my food choices.
Patterns seem harmless until they don’t.
There is a difference between habits and patterns. It’s important that we know when to recognize when we are optimized and when we are stuck.
Get unstuck as soon as humanly possible.
